Overview

About Garage Floor Coatings

Your garage floor takes more abuse than any other floor in your home. Hot tires that pull DIY epoxy off the slab. Oil drips, gasoline spills, deicing salt off your tires in winter, dropped tools, dragged equipment. A proper garage system is engineered for all of it — and a hardware-store roll-on kit isn't.

Our standard garage system is a hybrid: pigmented epoxy basecoat for color depth and adhesion, full-broadcast vinyl flake or quartz for texture and slip resistance, and a clear polyaspartic topcoat for hot-tire resistance and UV stability. The full system installs in one day for most Greater Atlanta residential garages — diamond grind in the morning, basecoat and broadcast mid-day, topcoat by afternoon, walk on it that night.

Garage floor coating isn't just cosmetic. It seals the slab against moisture and salt intrusion, makes spills wipe clean instead of soaking in, eliminates concrete dust, and brightens the space dramatically — a properly coated garage feels twice as big the moment you walk in.

Our Process

How We Install Garage Floor Coatings

01

Move-Out & Mask

You clear the garage; we mask walls, baseboards, and the apron. Anything that needs to stay (cabinets, etc.) gets protected.

02

Diamond Grind

Industrial planetary grinders open the concrete. This is where DIY kits fail — chemical etch can't replace mechanical prep.

03

Crack & Joint Repair

Polyurea crack filler and patching for spalls. We honor or fill control joints based on slab condition.

04

Basecoat & Flake

Pigmented basecoat rolled, flake or quartz broadcast to saturation. Excess scraped and vacuumed once cured.

05

Polyaspartic Topcoat

Clear polyaspartic locks in the broadcast layer. Walk on overnight, drive on the next morning.

FAQs

Garage Floor Coatings Questions

How long does a garage floor coating last?
A properly installed system with diamond-ground prep lasts 15–25+ years on a residential garage. The polyaspartic topcoat may show wear in heavy-traffic spots after 10–15 years and can be re-coated without redoing the whole system.
Can you really finish my garage in one day?
For most ${ATL}-area garages under ~1,000 sq ft, yes. We schedule the day around polyaspartic's cure windows. Larger garages (3+ car or attached shops) sometimes split into 2 days for quality reasons.
What's wrong with a roll-on epoxy kit from the hardware store?
Two problems. First, the prep — kits ship with chemical etch, which doesn't open the concrete profile properly, so adhesion fails within 1–3 years. Second, the materials — kit epoxies are thin (low solids %), not UV-stable, and not hot-tire resistant. They're a short-term solution.
When can I park in my garage after the install?
Walk on it the next morning. Drive on it 24 hours after the topcoat goes down. Heavy items and rolling toolboxes — give it 48–72 hours to fully harden.
