Epoxy Floor Coatings in Atlanta, GA

High-build, chemical-resistant epoxy systems for garages, basements, and commercial floors across the Greater Atlanta area.

Overview

About Epoxy Floor Coatings

Epoxy is the workhorse of concrete flooring. A two-part resin and hardener that chemically bonds to a properly prepared slab, it builds up into a thick, seamless film with serious chemical, abrasion, and stain resistance — the kind of finish that turns a tired garage or warehouse slab into a surface that looks great and performs for decades.

We install 100% solids epoxy systems (no VOCs, no shrinkage from solvent flash-off) in solid colors, full-broadcast vinyl flake, quartz aggregate, and metallic marbled effects. Every job starts with diamond grinding to mechanically open the concrete profile — that's the difference between a coating that lasts 15+ years and one that peels in 18 months.

Most Greater Atlanta homeowners pair an epoxy basecoat with a polyaspartic topcoat for the best of both worlds: epoxy's body and color depth underneath, polyaspartic's UV stability and fast cure on top.

Our Process

How We Install Epoxy Floor Coatings

01

Diamond Grind

Industrial diamond grinders open the concrete profile and remove contaminants — non-negotiable for adhesion.

02

Crack & Joint Repair

Cracks chased and filled with semi-rigid polyurea, control joints addressed, divots feathered.

03

Primer & Basecoat

Moisture-tolerant primer where needed, then a high-build pigmented epoxy basecoat rolled and back-rolled.

04

Decorative Layer

Vinyl flake, quartz, or metallic pigments broadcast or troweled in for color, texture, and slip resistance.

05

Topcoat & Cure

Clear urethane or polyaspartic topcoat for chemical resistance and UV stability. Walk on next day.

FAQs

Epoxy Floor Coatings Questions

How long does epoxy floor coating last?
Properly installed epoxy systems with diamond-ground prep typically last 15–25+ years on residential floors. Commercial floors with heavy forklift or chemical exposure run 8–15 years depending on traffic.
Is epoxy slippery when wet?
A clear-coated epoxy can be slick when wet. We routinely add an aluminum-oxide grit or a full-broadcast vinyl flake / quartz finish to add slip resistance — standard for garages and any wet-prone area.
Can epoxy be installed over an old, cracked slab?
Yes. Most slabs we coat have cracks, stains, or some level of damage. Diamond grinding removes contaminants and surface degradation, and we chase and fill cracks with polyurea before coating. For severely damaged slabs, a self-leveling overlay can restore the surface first.
Will epoxy yellow in sunlight?
Standard epoxy will yellow when exposed to direct UV. For floors that see sunlight (garages with open doors, sunrooms), we install a UV-stable polyaspartic or urethane topcoat over the epoxy basecoat to prevent yellowing.
